Cold Weather Critters

Join us as we meet some live animals from Eyes of the Wild Wildlife Center. Discover what special adaptations and characteristics help these fascinating creatures survive the cold weather, and compare them to other critters more suited for warmer climates. Open to families and individuals. Rain or Shine. Pre-Registration Required – space is limited!

Maple Sugaring Program

Tour Times: 10:30 am, 11:00 am, 11:30 am

Come to Van Vleck House & Gardens for a tour and demonstration of the process of Maple Sugaring. A sugar maple tree in Mother’s Garden at Van Vleck will be tapped, and if the weather cooperates the sap will be flowing. Families are invited to visit us as we learn how to identify a sugar maple tree and discover the steps from turning sap into syrup. At the conclusion of the tour, there will be a taste testing of course! Don’t miss this deliciously sweet event! Reserve your tour time today. Tour lasts approximately 1 hour. Pre-Registration Required – space is limited!
