Spend a peaceful evening in the garden taking inspiration from the magnificent natural beauty around us, we flow between postures at a slow to moderate pace, focusing on building strength in body and mind. This class welcomes all levels from beginner to experienced yogis. Please note mats will be spaced at least 6 feet apart, and participants required to practice social distancing and wear a mask at all times except while practicing on your mat. In case of inclement weather, the class will be cancelled and participants will be notified. Registration is required – We will not be able to accommodate any drop-ins.

Bring your own yoga mats and props. Proof of vaccination is required for our in-person yoga classes.

Join contemporary spiritual teacher and author Ramananda John E. Welshons (One Soul, One Love, One Heart, When Prayers Aren’t Answered and Awakening From Grief) for a wonderful series of evening meditation classes in the comfort of your own home via Zoom. These classes will focus on specific practices for working with fear and anxiety, and will offer reflections on how to deal with our current “social distancing” lifestyle. Participants will learn and practice different forms of mindfulness meditation in each session and will have the opportunity to participate in discussions of Ramananda’s three critically acclaimed books. Open to beginners and experienced practitioners, these gatherings offer an opportunity to experience deep inner peace while practicing with a highly experienced meditation teacher.
Registration is required by Wednesday at 1 pm the day of the class. An invitation with instructions to join the Zoom Meditation Class will be emailed to registered participants the day of the class.

Here’s your chance to get answers to those garden questions you have always been wondering about. How should I do this? When should I do that? What is this plant? and anything else. Participants are invited to submit up to three questions, and Van Vleck’s Director of Horticulture, Laura Roberts, will share her answers with the group. Submit your questions with the subject line “Ask Laura” to firstname.lastname@example.org by September 24th. This class will be held outdoors.

It’s not too late to add a bit of nature to your holiday décor! Learn to make several different items from materials gathered during a quick trip to your backyard. See some simple ways to use berries, pods, or even sticks in creative ways. You will never look at your garden the same way again!
